Anyone know much about the new EX5(r mostly)
Box from Yamaha? I have the SU-10 which has
horrible sound quality (though to some that's
a plus) and many other problems. I was just
about to get an A3000 then theis new one

I saw it at the namm show in L.A., it was the hottest new synth at the show. This thing sounds incredible. Here are the specs: 128 voice poly, sampler/resampler AWM synth, mono voice VL, two AN1X voices, 16 track sequencer, arppegeator and 8 insert effects plus global chorus and reverb, and check out the list price $2195 for the rack and about $2495 for the keyboard.

I've seen the EX5 press release:

It looks like a great all-in-one sound source. I can't wait a couple of months for the UK press to review it... So if I just said:
EX5 = AN1x + CS1x + VL70 + A3000 + this FDSP stuff
how wrong would I be? I mean, have the models been upgraded, so the analogue can take on the likes of say, Access Virus, or is this a neat package of established technologies?
Any clues to a UKP price, I suspect £2000?
