I've heard a lot about Fasttracker II, and it seems great (it's free too at www.starbreeze.com). However, It doesn't support pro cards and it only runs in dos. Bummer. Does anybody know of an equally good tracker app. that is compatible with pro cards (i.e. like th TB pinnacle) and that is share/freeware? Tnx.

Heh, fuck Marlboro! Don't forget how good Fasttracker 2 is: Why not sample with your high quality card in Win 95 and then use the samples in Fasttracker 2. Now you can sequence and stuff with your Soundblaster and afterwards you can convert the .xm file to a .wav (nice feature of Fast Tracker). Alternatively, you can check our Noisetracker (which is for Win 95 I thought).

You'd get lynched if you asked that question to a group of die-hard trackers because they evolved from the demo scene where the idea was to push limited hardware to its limits. Thus the motta of WIN bad DOS good... sortof anyway. Point is 95% of trackers are DOS. Look up MODplug tracker thats a windoze (dunno about soundcard support), but I don't know if its past the beta stage yet...
If you don't want a DOS style prog then kilo is right on target: get MW and cough up...
