You Brits have been knocking Macs around a bit too much. A $2000 Powerbook 2400c has replaced nearly all of my live set-up. With Logic Audio I'm getting 32 audio tracks off of my internal drive plus so-so fx. This syncs to Rebirth 1.5 which I use strictly for 303 emulation. On top of that I can switch between Grainwave 2 and Supercollider for real-time synthesis of myriad types. Logic is getting rock-solid sync from an MPC-3000. My rack consists solely of a Lexicon, compressor, MTP, and (egads) a Yamaha TX-81z. I really love mucking about with real-time sysex on the Yamaha and controlling Rebirth thru a Peavey PC-1600. That's the extent of my live-rig. That's just my 2 cents and otherwise this is a fine site indeed.

BTW We've got a Mac at the studio running PT III that reigns fire and brimstone on your ho-hum PC.
