I found a great page, though I don't have the URL on this computer. It's called 113 Beats and it has loads of good shit. Most are available as mono 16/44.1 as well as mp3, and lots of them have .ra to see if you want to download them. Just do an Altavista search for "113 Beats". I don't think it's in the Dancetech links section. (?)

Er, Kilo, I really liked the real snare samples... but where are them kiks and hats? I really would like some samples of the other stuff of a real drumkit... I don't have any use for the snares only! So Kilo, how about posting the rest too?

Yeah, Kilo..... Acoustic Drums.... I have a kit here, but it's old and fucked up and my neighbors would start a lynch mob if I was to start playing them now, along with all the fucking loud noises coming out of my studio.... Bring tha Funk, brotha!!!

Well if it's acoustic drums, and loops, that you want I'll be happy to send in shedloads very soon. My brother plays a Pearl Maple Custom set that I have been itching to record for some time now. As soon as I have my new Korg D8 recorder I'll send in all the loops you can handle.

At least that's what you think. But:
You Can Never Get Too Much Sounds! (the golden rule of sampling?)

All kinds of individual drum samples.... I'd feel like a whore using someone else's loops... Even if they were yers, Kilo.... (Of course, if I steal them off of an obscure record, I feel lily white... Go figure...) Funky drums! Kicks, hats, ride cymbals, Those little wire brushes on jazz drums! Drums, Drums drums!

Callin' me a whore?!? ;) Love those loops, Kilo, I use 'em a lot as bases of songs, and then put the real drums last. Hey, stabs, like all those cheezy 70s' records and Chemical Bros. tracks.

I play drums in a band and only recently got into electronic music, so I've recorded a whole shiteload of funky loops. A few acoustic loops are great in a track; they make it a hell of a lot more interesting (if anyone wants some, just email me.) I have a shitty "my-friend-couldn't-sell-it-so-he-gave-it-to-me" drum set so I generally record at a low sample rate to get grungy "old-sounding" hip-hop type loops etc. I also have the worlds worst mics but hell, I've made some okay loops with them...one day i'll get some real gear

kilo, how about any distorted drum and bass basses like in jumpup.. you know, the ones that start high and drop an octave and are swept.. and do you know how those sounds are programmed? in a synth or a sampler with pitchbend perhaps?

Get the terminology right here. Hilevelt is not a whore. Whores provide services for cash.

Hilevelt is a stinkin thief!

We as a poeple must learn to conserve our recources...We must have a forward vision and look to the future...We must learn from those who have programmed before us to be conscious of our own existance, and in touch with the ability we possess as an electronic tribe. If we do not recycle beats what beats will our children use??? Yes I have A dream......I have a dream that one day...little househeads, and little jungleists will be able to recycle beats TOGETHER.....I have a dream.....that one day Hilevelt will be strong enough....to give up his evil ways.Break away from the seductive lure of stolen beats, and begin CHOPPING.......yes chopping beats. In my dream I also see reprogramming......reprogramming of these evil beats to create a new style.....A NEW STYLE for the CHILDREN!!!! for the CHILDREN

if you don't know about this site already, check out:
www.samplenet.com
i think that's the address. it's a part of futurenet. they have tons of samples- real drum sounds, stabs, basses, fx, guitars, kitchen utensils, Guatamalan donkey harnesses, etc.   they add new samples every monday in the "latest" section. hope this helps those in need...
peace

There are links to loops on this site. Also some on this site.
For software you could try

Hammerhead- riddim loop creator/drum machine
Multiquence-multitrack Hdisk recorder,mixer,fx,seq
ReBirth-303 808 delays distortion
Goldwave-editor,manipulator etc

Shitloads of others too Makin Waves, Fruity Loops ACID etc etc
Just look round this site. You'll find links to these and many others.
