I've been reading a bunch of faq's on cdr's and there seems to be some controversy over this recorder using this media working on this reader.

Can I get a cdr and burn small runs of original music and be able to sell them and expect them to work on people's home cd players?

Yes.

However, re-writables will not/may not work on some/all hifi equipment.
