I can trade heads up my Mpc 2000 for an ASRX at
my shop. I love the MPC but would trade to have
a keyboard sampler. Can anybody tell me how the
sequencer compares.

BTW--You can go to:

Run a search for the ASRX mailing list and archives. This way you can find out first hand, how users of the ASR-X are getting along with it. It's very eye-opening.

uuuh The ASRX is NOT a keyboard sampler, so why would u trade the MPC for the ASRX if u love ur MPC?

tHE mpc is better in my opinion.

please... lets not start this one again....... ok just fer the newbies... the mpc and asrx are both tabletop samplers/sequencers with playable drum type pads... the mpc is more like a sampling drum box as you cannot use it as a playable sampler in the sense that a sample can be mapped over a keyrange, and layered etc etc..... it has a bigger and some say more superior sequencer....it can play hits and loops etc..... the asrx can sample in this way..... and has a 24 mb sysnth and 2 fx units on board....as well as a sequencer......

that isn't offering an opinion of which is better......

Ok Kilo,the MPC sequencer is not arguably superior. It just plain IS. How this can not be Immediately clear is beyond Bob.
