I was thinking of going out and buying an SU10 just for the stratch effect (I saw Coldcut scratching the hell out of one)but until I try one I thought Id find out if there are any PC samplers that have some sort of scratch versility?

There's an OK (definately SU10ish in quality) Turntable simulator for the Mac. I think it's free it's called Quicktime Virtual Turntable or some such thing.
