Hey whats up. I'm new here. Thought I'd say 'hey' anyways...check out
this track if u so desire. It's not as cool as some of the stuff I've heard
on this site, but instead of keeping my tracks all to myself I figured I
share my vibe.

welocme !

If you have a whole pile of tracks, you could start a topic 'Kapoks tracks' or something and just add links as and when you make em. would save battering the forum every couple of days with a new track ( sometimes annoys some people )

Not giving out rules btw- its all good either way by me, just a bit of DT netiquete heads up for ya

oh, and woah, that halide song sure is cool--the cut out for the bridgey type
drumless part is a little wierd IMO. Was kinda expect it to build more, but I think
thats more just by listening habit--Definately cool stuff though, me likes the
breaks !

cool thanks guys. Didn't mean to annoy anyone with my posts. oh and
by the way mcc, I wasn't trying to steal ur thunder with ur release or 1
up u or anything. I'm def not looking for a pat on the back either (all
though it is nice sometimes) my whole purpose here is to share my
vibe with others (I'm usually very shy and I'm trying to break loose of
my shell, I've NEVER shared any of my music b4) and try and get some
suggestions on how I could make my music better. Where I live there
are not many people into electronic music so I have to go other places
(like DT) to get advice and suggestions from like minded people. I
won't be posting anything for a while so its all good. I've never really
been in a forum b4 so thanks for the tips and guidelines.

yeah it kinda comes outta nowhere...like I said its still a work in
progress. I just get ideas out as they come and sequence later. But
thanks for noticing. Thats exactly what I need, is a 2nd opinion. I get
locked in my studio and listen to this loop a million times and then I
don't know up from down after a few hours of that. It's good to hear
others thoughts on it. I truly appreciate ur honesty and ur opinion.
Thank u again

yeah good stuff the intro is classic but it all happens to fast - bass comes in with the arp riff - it should stay for 16 bars THEN bring in the hats, give that sixteen and drop the bassline etc - i think it all comes to early and the pecussive overlays happen to early as well - fater the break which is good it then only holds 8 bars before the bassline changes and the bassline then changes every 8 bars -

it just needs a different arrangement for me anyways

I had an idea for a script once. It's basically Jaws except when the guys in the boat are going after Jaws, they look around and there's an even bigger Jaws. The guys have to team up with Jaws to get Bigger Jaws.... I call it... Big Jaws!!!

kapok....just checkin in man.
believe me...it's nice to see someone new here which friends have seemingly high regard for.

(don't worry...no one's stealing my thunder.)
: )

it's been a strange hectic week for me
so i don't mind admitting that i haven't peeped your tracks.
be assured i will....and from some of these reviews...i know i'm gonna enjoy.
i already like your spirit so that's always a start, eh?!?!

and you know what?

just keep pushing and tugging and making sure your shit gets heard.
it's a big world and no one's gonna hear you if you don't speak up.

well shucks...kapok>
...if this is your first complete track you've done with a
computer-sequencer...i'm gonna hate hearing tracks 3 through 20.
this is fabulous-sounding stuff.

first-of-all.... i just really love these snareless beats.
the sound is full and the music is imaginative without getting wierd on you.
the track goes a number of places and yet never feels like it's lost it's way or is changing modes just for the sake of it.
it feels a little like actual physical (metaphysical?) travel...and well....the craftsmanship is every bit up to the visison you've created.

very good work my man!!!.....

okay okay...here's some thunder....like you really need it!!
