Yeah! Mostly for grafik design tho but still...I could see a copy of reason sneaking it's way on to the hard-drive. Specs? G4/867 dual-processor(!)256/60/Combo/Geforce4MX/56K, factory refurbished, 1 year factory warr, uh huh, yeah, and all that. How much!? $1400, which I think is a pretty good deal. Out here in SF Bay area, there are more WTB ads than for sale when it comes to G4s, sheesh.
So now all that sneaking around copying s/w from my work will finally pay off HEE HEE!!!

fixed my AGP G4 VGA out,I'm pretty happy w/
my 17" one(monitor that is).Contact cleaner is

the thing about to lcds is.. if you are into moving graphics, their refresh time is slower then most crts ( crts take couples milliseconds ... the newer LCDs are around 12-14 ms... if I recall corecctly) stuff that doesnt move like webraphics is fine but there is still a recognizable difference when it comes to moving graphics... its getting better on LCD s now but still not quite there.. remember the old laptops? when you move the cursor it will trail behind..like that but now its less recognizeble... there is another technology called OLED (organic light emiiting display) which is very cool but still made in samll quantities ( they just started amking them for cell phones, small screen pcs, etc) the cool thing about them is you can bend them and they dont require a backlight so they are more efficent then LCDs.. you can out them on curved walls, coffee mugs etc. but its gonna be a while till its going to be widely available like lcds..

my point was. i am not payng shitload of money on something because it looks cool... i would like to have a LCD screen not just yet... maybe when the prices drop to CRT level... I can get a 21" flat square CRT for under 300 and thats a quality brand like the sony trinitron or mitsubishi ones..
about cars.. no one would buy an aston martin because it goes fast, because you can race them , Because they are bot good for racing ( seen any aston martins in racing? ) it just shows how fat your wallet is or how small your penis is... 2 1/2 ".. thats amazing.... Mclaren f1 LM thats a whole another story.. but a real drivers car is a lotus elise, fast and agile and kinda affordable..

Yes the lotus is king of the low HP vs Low
weight.I'm in america and no bumper/no
airbag = race only.As usual DT spins off into
another world.Well I personally in the US if I
had to drive a car and had mad flow,I would
get a boxster and drop in a 996 mtor w/ all the
Gemballah goodies.It's a perfect example of a
balanced mid engined layout and it's
ashamed you have to take a 996 apart to do
it.But it's a ferrari beater when setup correctly.I
personally like my triumph Speed Four bike
the best because it has that great exotic w/o
the expense bit to it.No plastic,just a Limey
take on a inline 4 w/ user programmable fuel
injection and water cooling.Sure it's not as
fast as a rice rocket but it sure sounds and
feels better.Plus there are only a few pre fire
ones in circulation and I've yet to run across
another.There's something to be said for mid
tuned 600cc 4 strokes in a Jap dominated
country like the US.Plus the torque is just
wicked.I can't wait to beat the pants off the
other provisional novices on their
kawayamahondazukis at the tight curve
ladened Carolina motorsports park and
VIR.Once I start roadracing that machine
there's no looking back.Sure i might go broke
from it but at least I'll have a blast.That LCD
logic makes alot of sense though.CRT it is.

When in mac land make sure you turn off the
auto update.I bought an eMac w/ the G4 700
and installed the Dane hack for realtime fx in
Final Cut pro and lo and behold one
autoupdate later it doesn't work
anymore.Somehow apple thinks I'll buy a dual

than I did w/ the hack.hah.Jokes on them I'll
