Subject: Korg Vocoder Keyboard

I had a chance to sit down with this machine
today.As a complete utter vocoder freq,I give it
an A+++ as a cool ass lil specific task
product.Even with the litlle soundblaster type
condenser microphone it sounded
intelligible.Thing that scared me was it
sounded better than my damn expensive
analog vocoder.It's small,portable and has
Moogish knobs,LEDs,and mini keys.It's just
really dope and it's only $399 at Guitar
Center.Big Upz to Korg for a job well done.It
fits the bill for my live vocoder and possibly will
become my main one.I can't say enough
about it other than it's freakin perfect.Very

you mean the microKORG. i have one. they are a LOT of fun. 
the vocoder is outstanding.
ive even gotten some decent basslines outta it too. solid purchase.

does it have LFO's, envelopes... etc? I ask because I thought it was basicaly an MS2000 with mini keys and less up front knobs...
electribes have that engine too, but they have NO deep editing features.

2 osc.'s, -24db low pass & 12db high pass, amp EG control, filter EG control, lfo 1 & 2, 4 virtual patch fx's (like the old analog synths where you had to patch sections together with wires.. this simulates that effect), mod fx, arpeggiator 1 & 2, timbre 1 & 2... and of course the cutoff, res, attack, release and tempo. no onboard sequencer which kinda sucks but this is a badass lil monster.

ms2000 with less controls. And for $100 less.
