Umm once again listening isn't much of an
option for me.The store that stocks these has
a return for store credit only policy.Feels nice
and the price is good.So what's the scoop?

H- thanks

never used the m series. used a 24 channel
spirit for FOH mixing a band once, one with
the master section in the middle. pres, eq and
headroom seemed decent, build quality not
quite as good as a similar AH. this seems
similar but gives you an ADC, I'd be curious
about that. what are you using now
converter-wise, how would this compare? do
you mix from the board or do you multitrack?

I use a TC finalizer 96K for my A/D then run
coax S/PDIF into an EMI 2/6 or my Fostex
VF80.The build quality is excellent IMO a far
cry better than the other Spirits i've seen.Plus
it's got the mic pres from the Ghost.Which I
know someone who uses those to great
effect.I could see myself using the onboard
converter if I was going to record 16bit.But for
24 bit i'd use the finalizer or apogee.A friend
has a apogee trak 2 and swears by it.

H- I use KRK V6 monitors so it's easier to
hear the difference but IMHO most converters
these days sound pretty damn good.
