The great things about this mixer:
10" portable
Korg Kaoss pad --built in, is a killer effects unit
Numark's mixing is quiet and reliable
Very Depenable
Worst things about this mixer:
no longer available, you gotta search hard on Google
its red
uses an external power supply w/ weird connector
no BNC light socket
headphones and Mic inputs are angled at bottom of case
There is no such thing as the perfect 10, 12 or 19" dj mixer.
i've owned 15 or more different ones. However this one is
pretty close. The Korg pad does alot to change sounds
of records or CD's and also is great for the Mic input as well.
I like using the mic and putting in some reverb for my gigs
with the Kaos Pad.
I wish Numark didnt end the relationship with Korg on
these models. The EM260, EM360 and EM460 had the
Korg. This is my second EM260. The first one just wore
out after 5 years or heavy duty use, I used it every weekend
and slapped the shit out of it. Its now retired, used for mixing a dual
cd player setup in my bedroom.
If you have the means and tenacity, go out and find one. Either
model mentioned above. You will find delight in the art of mixing
and remixing songs. All other "standard" mixers are dull in
comaprison, with the exception of American Audio's
effects mixer which is pretty close to the Korg-Numark.
