Four-Track Recording on an Ultra-Thin Card
Using commercially available SmartMedia—the same cards used for digital cameras—the new BR-532 can record and play back up to four tracks of pristine digital audio. And with 32 V-Tracks (eight per primary track), you can try alternate takes and solos, or even bounce four tracks to a stereo pair. A 32MB SmartMedia card is included in the box to get you started.

Just like BOSS pedals, the BR-532 is easy to use. So easy, you’ll probably be making your first recording before even opening the manual. Being fairly new to the recording game, I have found the manual on this machine to be just about useless. My mother-in- law could have written a clearer set of instructions. Not so bad if your used to programming one of these babies, but otherwise, be ready for a long hard slog trying to interpret the jargon. I have still not been able to use the rhythm guide in recording mode with much success. Will keep trying.

Hello,
A bandmate has the BR-532 and no instructions. I have got the basic recording down but still do not know how to use half of this machine. If anyone could send me some info or an instructional manual so I do not have to take all the time in the world figuring this piece out it would be greatly appreciated.

you plug it into the mic xlr socket and choose mic input select, then adjust the level in... as far as i can see from the picture. You need to use the manual for something like this.

I need help anybody I bought boss 532 digital recording from creglist $150 good deal I try to record christian music in my language ,how do I record to sing along? I want mic ,and line work as the same time I am not that good read manul beacause of my English please help I am interesting in this machine thanks

you can't use the mic and line in at the same time. Only the guitar/bass input can be used at the same time the mic input is used.

Hi mate, its very easy and a great way to back up and up load again.
Install the br wave converter. Get a smart media card reader. The wave
converter works in on 2 tracks 1 and 2, this means you must bounce your
work to 2 tracks(easy to do, in manual). Once you've bounced to 2 tracks
take the card out and put in your smart media and turn on pc. Find the br
wave converter and select which track you want to convert. High light and
convert br file to wave option, click on tracks 1 and 2 then convert. Once this
is done, close the br page down and the track will be shown in documents,
save it to your realplayer and thats it. You can revearse the process off the
pc by firstly create a new song on br itself (leave it empty) Then put the card
into the reader. Bring up br software and click tracks 1 and 2 (should turn
red) then click wave to br option your file should appear for selection. Put it
back in the br and it will play on stereo 1 and 2 on the br.
