Anwidasoft DX Reverb

The DX Reverb is a processing module delivering a rich and distinctive palette of reverb effects. From inverse and gated reverberation to warm plate reverbs and wide halls. This DirectX audio plug-in embodies state of the art algorithms developed with maximum care and no compromise. The interface allows a simple and effective editing of the wide number of control parameters available for each algorithm. The DX Reverb plug-in is Microsoft DirectX compatible, enabling you to use it with any digital audio software that supports this standard.

The DX Reverb includes 11 DIFFERENT REVERB ALGORITHMS : 2 small room, 2 medium rooms, 2 large rooms/halls, 2 plate reverbs, 2 gate reverbs and 1 inverse reverb.

The DX Reverb features full MIDI implementation providing two different functions:
  • to recall presets using MIDI program change messages
  • to control all parameters in real-time using MIDI Control Change messages via an external or software MIDI controller.

Rooms and halls
The DX Reverb provides 6 algorithms for room and hall simulation (2 small rooms, 2 medium rooms, 2 large rooms/halls). This wide choice allows you to simulate from large natural-sounding spaces with the spread attack and build of a concert hall to small rooms with sudden attacks and coloration characteristic of small spaces.

Plate
The DX Reverb provides 2 algorithms for plate reverb simulation. The plate programs mimic the sounds of metal plates, with high initial diffusion and a relatively bright, colored sound.

Gate
The DX Reverb provides 2 algorithms for gate reverb. The gate reverb has a fairly constant sound with no decay until an abrupt reverb cut-off.

Inverse The DX Reverb provides 1 inverse reverb algorithm. The inverse reverb is characterized by an increasing envelope that builds up before the reverberation is cut off abruptly.

"I particularly like the plates - they're nice and silky with voice, and aggressive with snares - but the halls are equally satisfying...This fine-sounding reverb is versatile enough that you're bound to find something that works for you among the 47 presets. If not, a little tweaking will get you there."

Craig Anderton EQ Magazine, Jan 2002
