Now these new mixers released at NAMM 08 are very interesting because they offer discrete individual channel/output feeds into your s/w multitrack. So basicaly you can think of this as an 8 input soundcard with a mixer front-end, and it has stereo monitor return. You can use this to record individual tracks such as kick, snare, hats, o/h's etc from a kit all into dedicated individual tracks on your sequencer - and it comes bundled with Cubase SE.Alesis MULTIMIX 8 USB 2.0, 8-channel USB 2.0 Analog mixer 24bit/96kHz (with integrated multichannel USB2.0 audio interface), 10 Direct inputs for recording and 2 return inputs for monitoring, High-gain mic/line (XLR and 1/4" balanced) inputs with phantom power, 2 stereo balanced 1/4", Switchable 75Hz highpass filters, Line inputs, aux send (to onboard or external effects), stereo aux return, 100 28-bit onboard preset effects including reverbs, delays, chorus, flanging, pitch and multi-effects.
3-band EQ per channel with high/low shelving and mid bandpass/reject, Separate 1/4" balanced main and monitor outs, headphone out, Steinberg Cubase LE included, Easy-to-attach rackmount ears available, Win XP SP2/Vista (only 32bit) und Mac OS X, Measurements (H x L x D) 89mm x 235mm x 260mm, Weight: 2,1kg.
