Yamaha CS5
Another analog cheapie... again in the Yamaha CS range... the Cs5 offers single osc', (no sub)... a 12db high/low-pass or 6db band-pass filter which along with the VCA section can be utilised by the external input..... (12db high/low-pass 6 db band-pass) gate again, and again hz-volts like Korg.... not a huge-style unit, but they do go cheap, and with the ability to feed in external sounds this could be a juicey little unit to get into your collection... Comments please !....

I had one of these some time ago.It was a small but warm synth with an external filter-input,which i used frequently because it had low-,band- and high-pass filters..But,as always, my room became too small for my keyz... and i had to sell it..That was a pity even if it was not very fat and had no MIDI.It looked pretty good anyway>>knobs!...I think secondhand prices are around $200 or so.

mileage out of it. It sounds great when
processed, BUT this synth is often best
used AS a processor ! The external in
turns this baby into an analog
processing mo

I got one of these for £150 and I love it. I probably use it more than the Moog Prodigy that sits next to it. The external filter input is great fun and it's nice to have the hi-pass and band-pass filters.
The LFO is really fast too - capable of some really freaky metallic noise.
Also the Octave Divider thingy has a huge range - Really evil dentist drill type sounds are easy :)
Can you tell I make industrial music...? :D
