i'm the owner of one of this...
it's great and really easy to use, the two vco can generate really intersting sounds.
a lot of different sounds from fat and heavy to the sound of the bee!!!
3 noise sound: white, pink and scale (really good with the vco 2)
you can adjust the portamento as you want and the bend too...
enjoy!

The Korg 770 was my first synth, I purchased it new in 1977. I still have it, although it needs a little work. I can't part with it because of all we've been through together. I know alot of people have not heard of this model, but back in the 70's many people have not even heard of Korg.
A great little synth, it got me through many a first gigs.

Yeah, it's really a dirty punk synth. It sounds like if it was always in distortion. I think it's because his filters. I'm really in love with this. I play ryhtm parts or bass-leads stuffs. With a pitch pedal, if you take care of the tune of the second oscillator, you can play like good old guitar riffs or play like the edge of u2 ! -with delays too of course- So, really amazing. that's all. Don't forget the external in !

I purchased the Korg 770 back in 1977 NEW, in Evansville Indiana USA. It was my first synth. I still own it too. It was a Korg synth that you didn't have to use patch cords for.
It was a nice little 2 VCO thing, I first used it to make all kinds of sound effects, it is very good at doing that. I even used it in a school play back in the 70's to simulate thunder, rain, wind, even a lazer beam. It's not super thick or anything, other websites call it a "buzzy little dude". Well maybe it is but I have fond memories of the Korg 770, It made me a Korg man from day one, now I own about 13 Korgs and love'em all. I know the 770 is'nt the most popular old analog synth, but I think it has its place in history.
