The SDD-2000 Sampling Delay was one of those great early digital fx processors all the Japanese music corps churned out in the 80's using the newly arived affordable chips the 80's ushered in. The first wave of Jap' delays featured usualy 500-1000ms delay time often with a 'Hold' feature which simply captured the recorded sound in the delay and held it there so it could loop or possibly be retriggered from a button.. This feature for example was found on the early Ibanez delays - beyond that these early sampling delays didn't do much, but the SDD-2000 and other delays of this ilk came along soon after offering greater delay times, midi control, and more ability to do something with the sampled sound once captured.

The SDD-2000 is most famous for being used extensively by The Edge from U2 on every album from The Unforgettable Fire onward. It is still in his rack today, 20+ years later.

The SDD-2000 is very similar in tone to the SDD-3000, but actually has several more modern features that the SDD-3000 doesn't, namely dozens of progammable presets, complete MIDI controllability and sampling functionality. It gives you beautiful delays with over four seconds of sample time. You can also playback samples chromatically from a midi keyboard. Awesome chorus, flanging & vibrato...and with a fully adjustable modulation parameter you can go from subtle sound textures to totally insane experimental noise. Sync your delays to tempo via midi, tap, or just dial in your exact delay time. You can adjust your feedback for just one repeat, multi-repeats, or all the way to self-oscillation. There are 64 program memories to store your individual settings. The Korg SDD-2000 is a superb delay, chorus and modulation effect for guitar, but it also rocks with bass and vocals. It’s a real classic and a must-have!

this unit is awesome. I use it in live music and its really my right
arm. Working for a reggae band I'm able to do all the dub moves that
can possibly be called for. Get it.

I have owned one of these gems for more than 20 years myself..and yes it it awesome it's a bit noisy at times and the longer sample settings get a bit too dark for me but other than that i have had a many a droolin moment with this one ...lol and it's still got the original battery in it too hahahaha :) :)

Todo depende adrian, yo vendi el extra que tenia por $600 y vale cada
