That video on the right "night drive" is a great demo of the potential of this box. I bought mine second hand for 130$ and I don't regret it. Its not a machine drum or an mpc but there is quite a bit that can be done with it. the touchpad makes for more interesting transitions and sequencing of the pattern channels than the mc 505. more performance oriented. some good usable sounds on there to be sure, but in the future I hope to dig into its synthesis engine with midiquest and save some of my own patches. if you are able to send midi from a computer piano roll you've got all you need with this thing to hook up some patches for throwing down a live set
