OK. I admit it. I'm torn with this little mixer / fx unit. For 18 months, it was a useful portable mixer with phantom power and 3 band eq (on 2 channels), 99 fx and 4 stereo pairs with fx send. It did everything I asked of it - and all for less than 70 quid! Then, one day, with no warning whatsoever, the left channel suffered a catastrophic noise fault leaving me with mono right only!
Wonderful, but not reliable! To be fair, I had heard many speak of Behringer's reliability issues, but I went along with this super little mixer because I already owned an Ultrabass BX600 bass combo, which for over 5 years had been thrown around weekly and still gave me what I wanted.
So, assuming yours works well (and I now buy my products from a company that gives me a 4 year warranty on ALL kit!), then the fx alone are worth buying the mixer for! In fact, it's possible to just get a wet output to use as a quick outboard fx, despite none of the preset fx being editable.
If you want to double the price, then you'll get a USB interface thrown in for a higher model, but they also get bigger and more cumbersome.
The trim controls were clunky - you seem to get 70% of the gain when you move the trim from 70% to 90% (hope that makes sense), but used with care, I managed to control a couple of phantom powered boundary mikes through a live stage pa (no easy feat).
The eq is ok although I feel the bass centres a litlle too high to control anything other than vocal mics.
Having 4 sets (yes 4!) of stereo ins available was very useful - especially for stereo keyboards if you want to be a budding Rick Wakeman.
Overall, if you can get a good one, this is fantastic value. If you want reliability, I found other prducts like the Alesis Multimix 8 USB (now with my 4 year warranty!).
